The most common bird found in supermarkets and farmers' markets is the White Cornish cross.  While we believe a pasture raised chicken is far superior to any other regardless of breed, we feel the Freedom Ranger tops them all.

Freedom Rangers are bred specifically for a pasture based program.  In fact, they were bred to meet the standards of the French Label Rouge Free Range Program.  They are active birds that thrive on a diverse natural diet supplemented with organic grain.

We feed our birds Green Mountain Feed which is a certified organic, non-GMO feed from Vermont.  The chickens are raised on organically managed pasture and moved once or twice a day to fresh pasture.
